After this victory shivaji continues his journey of victory in Purandar, kondama, supa, indapur and chakan forts.

He made Rayagarh as his capital by by seeing the continuous victory of Shivaji Maharaj the Mughal King got afraid that, if Shivaji was not controlled one day he is going to attack on Bijapur also and he has to lose Kingdom. So , Bijapur Sultan sent Shivaji Maharaj father to talk with shivaji and join the hands with Bijapur Sultan. but, Shivaji denied this as a result his father was sent to Jail on 25th July 1648.

Now Shivaji Maharaj put breaks to his victorious journey. he stoped himself till the release of his father. We have to learn Shivaji Maharaj patience here. Once as his father released in 1649. Again Shivaji started war on the surrounding forts of Bijapur. This time not only with war he also extended friendship with some of the kings and extended his Kingdom.

Now Shivaji Maharaj was growing day by day and to stop him Sultan Adil Shah sent Afzal Khan. Who is very strong and cruel with large  military. Afzal Khan failed to beat Shivaji Maharaj in the field and decided to talk with him. During the meeting he tried to attack Shivaji from back but, Shivaji maharaj was very intelligent so protected himself and stood up strong fought with Afzal Khan and killed him.

To take revenge on Shivaji this time Adil Shah sent Rustam Jha in 1659. with large army but this time also Shivaji Maharaj was  Victorious and established his Swaraj on panhala fort.
